May. 19th, 2012 08:27 amДурацкая статья, но понравилось выражение "a handful of Stanford undergrads". Напомнило "полную корзину шиллингов" ("a basketful of Shillings") у Даррелла.
Шиллинги - это лемуры галаго, ( вот такие )
И ещё про шаланды, вторя Рушди в "Последнем вздохе мавра": "'Oh, you Moor, you strange black man, always so full of theses, never a church door to nail them to.' ... Unfortunately, my mother overheard; and darted, quick as snakebite: 'So full, you mean, of faeces.'"
